Proud Moment for Uncle Robert & Aunt Rachel

This past weekend was our niece, Ainsley's 1st Birthday! We were so glad that we were able to be there to celebrate such a special day with her. She has grow so much over the past year and means the world to us. When we first got their I was holding her but then she saw her Uncle Robert, who was wearing a white shirt with an A&M logo on the right side. Ainsley started to point at the logo, touching it. As an Aunt and Uncle who both graduated for Aggieland we were SO PROUD that our little niece has already made the right choice as to which school to attend!! WHOOP! It is hard to see the logo in the picture but you can tell that she is very focused on it.

Lexie In The Basket

Last night while I was cooking dinner I looked over to the laundry and saw that our sweet little Lexie decided that she wanted to get in the laundry basket with the dirty clothes. She sat there for a little bit and then decided it was time to get out. I thought it was so cute. We love our little Princess.

Trip to the ZOO 2/20/10

This past weekend Roberts mom and dad came to visit. We had such a wonderful time and it was nice to have family around. Robert had a wonderful idea of going to the Zoo in Brownsville. None of us had been before and we decided that it would be something fun to see and do. The weather was wonderful and it was so nice to be outside looking at all of the animals. The great thing about the zoo is that the animal gages are really close up. The animals were all out and most were very active. We also got to see some little baby animals as well. I forgot to take the camera so all of the picture were taken with my cell phone. Robert and I plan to go back to the zoo again so I will get some better pictures then.

Burnt Beans

So here is how the story goes.....We were having tacos for supper last night and I decided that I would like to have some pinto beans with them. I knew that they took a long time to cook so I wanted to put them in the crock pot that morning and let them cook all day. Having never cooked pinto beans in my crock pot I called my mother....I asked her how much water to add and she said cover them about half way....I thought to myself that this seemed kind of weird but I did it anyway. So I put the beans in the pot and then covered them "halfway" with water which if you are wondering...it is not much water....What my mom ment for me to understand was to put the beans in the pot and fill the CROCK POT half way with water....So when I got home the beans were BURNT. As you can see from the picture they were black and rock hard. I think that they might have been harder than they were to start with, if that is possible. Lucky for me Robert was not going to be home for another 2 hours. I put new beans on the stove in a pot with LOTS OF WATER and just let them boil. I quickly opened the windows and lit candles to get rid of the smell. The new beans were perfect and the house smelled good by the time that Robert arrived home.... LESSON LEARNED!!

Valentine's Surprise

My sweet husband had these BEAUTIFUL flowers delivered to my school for me on Thursday. I was able to enjoy them for two days at school and then took them home to enjoy them. It was very special to have them delivered.

Christmas Photo

So I know I am a little bit behind but here is our Christams Photo from this year. We were able to take the picture out at some of our friends house who lives on a beautiful property.
